Denterlein is working with MAAPS to coordinate weekly communications to its members, providing updates on school mentions in the media and special education trends in the news. Our team also provides insights on how the schools can join these conversations to elevate their positioning in Massachusetts media landscape. Denterlein also provides public relations support to individual schools as needed.

Massachusetts Association of Approved Special Education Schools (MAAPS) serves students with a wide range of emotional and developmental disabilities and has 80 diverse members, each with different needs, challenges, and priorities. While being subject matter experts in their own field, the schools need individual support and updates on industry trends, regulations, and member communications. Denterlein helps MAAPS keep the diverse list of schools updated and informed of best practices around special education communications, as well as provides public relations support to individual schools, as needed.

Denterlein is working with the Association to coordinate weekly communications to the members, updating them on school mentions in the media, as well as national and local special education trends and news. Our team also provides insights on how the schools can join these conversations, educate themselves and elevate their positioning in the Massachusetts media landscape. Denterlein closely collaborates and participates in the members’ PR committee, where our team presents monthly media metrics and identifies common challenges and areas of need. Our metrics advise the schools on what themes and topics are being mentioned in the news and help best balance each school’s needs.

By producing weekly media monitoring reports, Denterlein team plays an integral role in ensuring that members of MAAPS stay updated on industry news, trends, and issues. Denterlein also serves as a point of contact for issues and asks that can be addressed individually and outside of the association. Our support allows Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools to stay attuned to each member’s needs, while also focusing on the overall strategy of the organization.
